Our Approach
We are looking for businesses that have been in existence for a decade or more (with exceptions) - preferably multiple decades, with an owner looking to retire or "pass the torch", to maintain and improve on the success and legacy they have built. We generally want businesses that have management in place, or, existing personnel that can be moved into strong management positions.
We care most about the team and existing personnel, and our first goal is to maintain and improve their experience and overall happiness. We know that if our team is happy and productive, the end user client will benefit with unparalleled service and quality, and our group will be fruitful and strong. People first.
We usually prefer working with owners that will transition through earn-outs, or 3-5 year payouts. This not only assures confidence in both parties moving forward, but also generally reduces the seller's taxable impact, thereby giving the seller a better overall net price. We pay well, and in doing so expect to work with sharp sellers that will enjoy working within our seller-positive plan. We do not need the majority of business income initially to flow through to our group, and therefore reinvest the income back into the seller, the business, and the employees.
